Greetings Friends,
Adobe CS3 design premium I have purchased Adobe CS3 & have installed it on a PC, however I need to put it on a laptop now but need the serial number, but the serial number on the box is now incomplete - water damage!
Creative Cloud is a collection of 20+ desktop and mobile apps and services for photography, design, video, web, UX, and more. Now you can take your ideas to new places with Photoshop on the iPad, draw and paint with Adobe Fresco, and design for 3D and AR. Description Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium software combines industry-leading tools for outstanding design in multiple media. Create eye-catching images and graphics at lightning speed in Adobe Photoshop Extended and Illustrator. In Adobe InDesign, lay out high-impact print documents with exquisite typography, and design publications for iPad and other tablet devices.
After doing considerable research and determining that CS3 Design Premium runs well on El Capitan as long as an older version of Java is installed, I performed a clean install of OS X 10.11 El Capitan on a Macbook Pro which had been running OS X Lion and CS3 Design Premium for a few years. Prior to the internal hard drive erasure and clean install of El Capitan, I de-activated my CS3 license for the Macbook Pro.
I disabled System Integrity Protection in Terminal and also disabled Gatekeeper in System Preferences so I wouldn’t have any problem installing legacy software.
I don’t currently have access to the original discs so I downloaded the CS3 Design Premium installer from the Adobe website (ADBESTDSCS3_WWE.dmg) and after installing the legacy version of Java, launched the CS3 install and followed the instructions. I watched the installer load ’disc 1’, though as I recall, the original retail box set had two disks. That said, everything seemed to go well and OS X displayed the usual confirmation that the software had been installed successfully. It didn’t ask for an additional install file.
I opened Photoshop and reactivated the CS3 license per my account on the Adobe website.
Photoshop seems to be running well, as does Indesign and Flash.
But Illustrator is behaving oddly. When I launch Illustrator, it’s icon appears and bounces in the Dock momentarily and then comes to a rest with the little black dot underneath, indicating that the program is loaded and ready to use. However, in the upper lefthand corner of the screen, next to the little Apple icon, where the name of the Application should appear in bold black text along with its dropdown menus to the right — nothing appears.. no ’illustrator’ name, and no dropdown menus alongside like File, Edit, View, etc. Actually, it’s not like absolutely nothing appears. The little black Apple icon is still there and to it’s right is the name of whatever Application was already loaded and active like ’Mail’ or ’Safari’, along with their corresponding dropdown menus to the right. Clicking on the yellow Illustrator icon in the Dock should make Illustrator active — put the Illustrator name and its dropdown menus up there, but nothing happens when I click the Illustrator icon. The previous app remains active.
Illustrator appears to have loaded but without any of its tools or menus. Again, I received no error messages during or after the install. I received confirmation that the install was successful with the little green check mark.
Can anyone shine a light on this or advise me on a solution for completing the installation of Illustrator CS3?
Thanks!

Recently my Photoshop CS3 decided to tell me that my license activation was expired/needed re-activation. I thought this had to do with a Windows 10 update from the week before breaking things as it also wrecked my MS Office installation.
Of course the reactivation failed with a connection error saying “Activation – No Connection”. And of course the phone activation service has been discontinued by Adobe.
The cause of the activation or connection error is Adobe has “retired” their older activation servers. It was these servers that Photoshop CS3 were connecting to every time I started the program (ie to check that the serial code is legit). What this means is that older Adobe software such as CS3 and Acrobat 8 can no longer be activated. But wait there is a solution
Don’t try talking to Adobe support as they don’t know their ass from their elbow and after telling you a list of steps to take (steps I’d just finished telling them I’d already taken without success before speaking to them) they will tell you that Adobe CS3 is no longer supported and to find your answer in the Adobe community forums. Since I’m a glutton for punishment, I went through this process twice with Adobe “support staff”. In order words, Adobe’s official advice is to “figure it out yourself. And so I did. Here is the solution to the Adobe CS3 activation error. You will need an Adobe ID.Adobe Cs3 Design Premium Download Free
*Get a new (free) CS3 serial code, as your old one is now useless. You can do this by going to https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs3-product-downloads.html and click the Sign in link (down past What are my options?)
*Download the new CS3 installer (link found on the page after you sign in)
*While downloading the new installer, uninstall the old CS3
*CRITICAL STEP – Delete cache.db file from Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Adobe/Adobe PCD/cache.
*In case you missed step 4. Skip this step and nothing will change and you’ll get the activation error again. CRITICAL STEP – Delete cache.db file from Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Adobe/Adobe PCD/cache.
*Reboot
*Optional, if you want to be extremely thorough: Run the Adobe Cleaner Tool (get it here https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html). Mine didn’t find anything to remove.
*Optional: Reboot
*Install Photoshop CS3 using the new CS3 installer
*Start the program, rejoice when it asks for your new serial code
*Have a minor heart attack when you get another activation error
*Rejoice when you realise it’s just a product registration error. Click “Never register”, and go have a beer.
Yay.
